A few of the Lessons I just learned.......

Lesson # 1 ~ Life isn't fair, but it is still good.

Last weekend our power went out from three o'clock on a Saturday afternoon until nine o'clock Sunday morning.  We lit some candles, listened to the radio, hung out on the back porch and played some board games.  We had a long time to catch up on some family time.  We could of ran out the door.....but we did not want to leave Grizzly behind.

The next morning I got up very early and went to Dunkin Donuts to grab a cup of coffee, charge my cell phone and read the newspaper.  As I read the paper I came across two obituaries of two young mothers with small children.  Loosing our power was the worse thing to happen to us that weekend.......Life isn't fair....but it is still good.  Bless the families that loose their parents too soon.

Lesson # 48 ~ If you don't ask, you don't get.

My Keurig coffee brewer was not working...( I know, not the end of the world).....the little light went on and told me to de-scale.  I de-scaled the brewer read all the directions and still no luck.  It was only a year and a half old.....only made one or two cups a day.  No longer under warranty!  My mother suggested to call customer service......"it doesn't hurt to ask"...so I did!  The nice people from the Keurig company are extremely kind......they are from down south ~ Georgia!  The customer rep tried to help me over the phone.....again no luck.  She told me they would send out a new Keurig brewer!  If you don't ask, you don't get!  Thanks Keurig!  Thanks Mom!

Lesson # 4 ~ Don't take yourself too seriously.  No one else does!

Laugh a little......

Play a little......

Live a little......life is too short to be too serious!

  1. I love this !!! Karen was reminding me when we were laughing so hard at your camp out. Remember the magic carpet ride? I don't think anybody was taking themselves too seriously;)
